a tally of 2 cities (and ignoring my absence)

yeah, yeah- we're just going to mostly skip the fact that it's been over 7 months since this little blog has seen any action.

i could make excuses like "oh, work is really super hectic"

or "i'm too busy bein' in lurrve to post anything (ha! pleease.)"

but none of those things are the case.

the truth is I AM LAZY AND DID NOT FEEL LIKE IT.

buuuttt, sometimes you stumble across something and your brain just screams

"I MUST SHARE THIS WITH THE WORLD!!!"

(or with the 6 people who follow my blog- love you, girls!)

so here it is- probably the cutest, most clever thing i've seen this year, or maybe ever. i don't know, maybe that's an exaggeration.

my little kitten chloe is pretty darn cute and clever,

plus she's also hilariously psychotic so she probably wins over this. but i digress...

the paris vs. new york blog is my new favorite thing.

charleston fashion week

Charleston Fashion Week just wrapped and I'm kicking myself for the 3rd year in a row that I didn't make time to scoot down there for at least a night.

The photos of all the shows on the website look phenomenal, but my favorite have to be the street style looks of the fashionable attendees.

I love seeing how everyday girls put together great pieces to form the perfect look.

Fact: I love vintage bikinis. They always come in the cutest patterns with great whimsical details. Plus they’re soo flattering to the female form. Hello, curves!!

The problem: As a 22 year old college student in the South, this isn’t the style you see worn by girls lounging poolside or frolicking on the beach. Humph.

I know I should embrace the role of trendsetter and rock a vintage-style bikini hard and proud, but I’ll admit I’m a little scared of standing out from the sea of J Crew twist bandeau suits.

So a goal of mine before sun bathing season gets into full swing is to convince just one girlfriend to take the retro trend plunge with me. If I’ve got to go down in fashion flames, I’m taking someone with me!!

In honor of his presence at USC this week. This song served as the soundtrack to my Advertising Strategies class today while he was sound checking in the same building. Pretty sweet, right?

I was dying over the hilariously creative plotting by girls in my class to stalk him down and subsequently have his babies. I wish you luck, ladies!

girl crush: diane kruger

Diane Kruger was definitely my favorite at the SAG Awards this year. I loved the saffron Jason Wu gown paired with the ruby jewelry, absolute perfection.



But her best accessory of the night had to be Joshua Jackson. They couldn't be any more adorbs if they tried. Who would have thought Pacey from Dawson's Creek would grow up to land such a babe AND have such great style?

temporary wallpaper idea

Jenny over at Little Green Notebook is an absolute genuis. I stalk her blog constantly trying to pick up stylish, inexpensive DIY projects to use in my little house.

This time she really floored me, though. I've been searching for a solution to my depressing off-white walls that I can't paint or wallpaper since I'm a renter. I found a couple of ideas with those adhesive decals and temporary wallpaper but nothing really went with my decor.

Jenny has come to my rescue with a large scale diamond patterned "wallpaper" using Japanese masking tape.

and here is the finished product. So chic, right?

I love the aqua color Jenny used, but I'm also considering this green and the red dot. What do you think?
